Kent is a county in South East England that has a population of over 1.4 million people. As one of Britain’s home counties, it's one of the eight counties surrounding London; including Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
Affectionately known as 'The Garden of England', the county features some truly breath-taking natural scenery. From the famous white cliffs, to its numerous beautiful Blue Flag beaches and 350 miles of glorious coastline, Kent is a haven for families and water sports enthusiasts alike.
Kent includes the famous towns of Canterbury, Rochester, Maidstone and Dover all of which provide a rich and varied selection of entertainment, retail and leisure activities.

Kent has great commuter links, including access to the channel tunnel rail link now known as High Speed 1, which links Kent with Coquelles, Pas-de-Calais, near Calais in northern France. The journey along the 31.4 mile rail tunnel links Kent to mainland Europe in just 35 minutes.
Kent is home to some of the most prestigious schools in the country, with a wide selection of state-funded and self-governing institutions. The county has a large number of Primary Schools rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, as well as high-performing secondary and grammar schools, including Dartford Grammar School, The Folkestone School for Girls, and The Skinners’ School in Tunbridge Wells.
