GLOUCESTER CATHEDRAL

Gloucester is an important cathedral city, with the cathedral itself having an intricate and interesting history. With royal ties, such as hosting the coronation of King Henry III in 1216 (who was only nine years old), and being the burial place of King Edward II (one of a select few monarchs buried outside of London). The architecture itself is also renowned with the East Window being a huge display of medieval stained glass. When it was built in the 1300s, the 22m by 12m window was the largest window in the world. In more recent times, the cathedral was used for some of the Hogwarts scenes in the Harry Potter films.
