Retired couple Wendy and John O’Connor have recently moved into their new home at Crest Nicholson’s Monksmoor Park, Daventry. The couple lived in a caravan on a farm in Napton prior to moving into their four-bedroom home last July.

Wendy and John have lived in the Daventry area for over 20 years, but had their eye on the popular Monksmoor Park development since it launched in 2013. They previously moved from a four-bedroom home to an apartment, but missed having a garden and their own front door, which is why their new home is much more suitable. “It’s going to be our last move, so we wanted to make sure it was perfect- and it is”, Wendy adds.

“It is everything we wanted and more” Wendy comments, adding “the living area is so spacious, and having three double bedrooms is quite unusual, plus the fourth bedroom is also a good size.” The couple also love their generously sized garden, and since moving in they’ve had some extra work done to the outdoor area, giving them a lovely, large patio area to enjoy.

The couple love having their family over to visit, particularly as their two young grandchildren adore the onsite playpark! Wendy commented on the community feel of the development, as all the neighbours know each other. She also says that they love the fact that every property on the development is a bit different.

Monksmoor Park has been designed with ‘Garden City’ principles in mind to promote the very best of town and country living. This popular development comprises a variety of exceptionally designed homes, combined with green open spaces and a real sense of community.

Wendy concludes “every day, almost without exception, my husband and I say to each other how happy we are to be living here – that is the honest truth!”

Homes are still available to buy at Monksmoor Park, with prices starting from £154,950. This fantastic development has something to offer everyone, with homes ranging in size from one and two bedroom apartments, to four-bedroom family homes. To find out more information, call 01327 220079, or visit
