One and two bedroom apartments at Arborfield Green development now available with government backed Help to Buy scheme

Potential first time buyers in Reading and Wokingham have been handed the chance to land their dream home following the regeneration of the former Arborfield Garrison site. Crest Nicholson’s Arborfield Green development released a series of apartments and houses for sale on 21st May at Haslams Estate Agents, Friar Road, Reading.

The limited number of two bedroom apartments start from £295,000 and are available from just £ 236,000 when purchased as part of the government backed Help to Buy scheme. The first phase of properties now on sale include a selection of two bedroom apartments and three and four bed houses and are due for completion in Autumn 2016.

The Arborfield Green site is set to offer first time buyers and existing home owners the chance to lay down their routes in a family orientated, relaxed and naturally beautiful environment. When the entire Arborfield Green development is complete, the site will consist of around 2,000 homes, new primary and secondary schools, a library and a gym. There will also be a district centre with shops, food stores, bars and restaurants and a doctors’ surgery.

The Garden Village site is surrounded by green open space and, when complete, will include over 2.5km of new bridleways and 5km of new footpaths, alongside 3 acres of new play areas and 4km of new cycle-paths.

As part of the development Crest Nicholson has also committed to creating new areas of country parkland to encourage biodiversity as well as providing open spaces for residents. The newly created Hazebrook Meadow which is situated adjacent to Waterman’s View will be open in time for the first property completions in Autumn 2016.

Mary Timlin, Sales and Marketing Director at Crest Nicholson Regeneration, said: “We are very pleased to be underway at Arborfield Green and helping local people get their first home. It’s been fantastic to see strong interest in the development early on and this is testament to the quality of the development and the demand for homes in the area.

“We look forward to our first completions in Autumn 2016 and welcoming new homeowners to this exciting bourgeoning community.  Given the interest we have seen to date; we would encourage interested parties to act quickly to avoid disappointment.”
