Local housebuilder Crest Nicholson is supporting the Broxbourne Borough Community Fund on behalf of the community at its Regents Brook development, in Hertfordshire.

The housebuilder has donated £500 to the upcoming Duck Race, taking place on 20th April, on New River behind Broxbourne Council offices. The Duck Race will raise funds to help support organisations such as the Cheshunt Sea Cadets in giving young people invaluable confidence and experience to succeed in their life.

Situated just a few miles from Regents Brook, the Cheshunt Sea Cadets club is at the heart of the local community and provides young people with the opportunity to grow and develop essential leadership and communication skills. With bold ambitions for Broxbourne residents and the Cheshunt Sea Cadets, the Duck Race continues to expand with the help of Crest Nicholson, helping fundraise and uplift the wider community.

Karen Coulson, Sales and Marketing Director at Crest Nicholson Eastern said: “We’re proud to support the Cheshunt Sea Cadets and their Duck Race, who form a crucial part of the community in Broxbourne. Grassroots clubs like these helps to build stronger and safer communities, along with helping children to develop key skills and make friends for life. We’re looking forward to the race and excited to be working closely with the council to support local residents.”

Paul Seelby, Mayor of Broxbourne, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Crest Nicholson for sponsoring the Duck Race, and it’s fantastic for the sea cadets to be supported by the housebuilder. The club is a pillar of the community known for their friendliness and inclusivity and welcomes everybody in Broxbourne to get on board!”
