Crest Nicholson has commenced building works on its SE1 portfolio. The portfolio offers three new exceptional developments all due to launch within a year of one another, Brandon House, Valentine Place & Snowsfields Yard.

Brandon House has been carefully designed to reflect the urban pattern and hierarchy of the Borough area, creating a charismatic mixed-use development which includes places to work, shop and live. To achieve this, the development has been divided into seven different buildings – each with its own distinct design.

They include two residential buildings facing Borough High Street and Marshalsea Road, with shops and offices at their base. A third residential building has its entrance from the new yard – its two upper floors forming a villa which looks west towards the park. There are also two rows of four mews houses which form an entrance to the mews and a boundary for Little Dorrit Park.

A new passage will connect the bustle of Borough High Street with the quieter calm of the new yard and mews behind. By day the new frontages will enliven both Borough High Street and Marsheleas Road and in the evening, people coming and going from the houses that overlook the park will make the yard and the mews a more interesting and safe place to be in.

Internally, the open-plan living spaces, will create a sociable area in which to dine and relax, and most homes will have access to private terraces or balconies. Finishes at Brandon House are to the highest quality, with a design focused on clean lines and a contemporary modern feel.

Once complete, Brandon House will provide  44,000 sq ft of commercial floor space, of which 30,000 sq ft will be allocated to office use and 14,000 sq ft will be used as retail space. 97 residential units, 20 affordable homes, & 77 private & will comprise of a mix of 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments and 2 & 3 bedroom townhouses. The scheme will be car free with only disabled parking in the basement and will not only promote walking & cycling but also a natural policing of the public realm.

Julia Reynolds, Sales and Marketing Director at Crest Nicholson London, said: “Our SE1 portfolio features three spectacular new developments which will appeal to young professionals, downsizers, families & investors. All three developments benefit from being in the heart of one of the most exciting parts of town as well as having unrivalled transport links close by.”

Prospective buyers are being invited to register their interest now with Crest Nicholson ahead of the first release of homes this summer.

Valentine Place will be an exclusive set of just forty two properties and will include a mixture of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, three-bedroom duplexes and three-bedroom townhouses, nestled around a beautifully landscaped communal garden.

The development is being built in a conservation area on the site of a former flour mill and will feature a design which not only retains the façade of one of the site’s original building’s but also reflects the style of the adjacent warehouse apartments.

The development will feature office and retail space will also be available located just around the corner from Southwark Underground station.

The boutique development of Snowsfields Yard completes the trip of Crest Nicholson’s SE1 portfolio. Situated just a little over 500 metres from The Shard, the development will deliver 37 high quality residential units - a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments with private amenity space in the form of balconies and roof terraces. Of which 28 homes will be private and nine will be affordable.

Four commercial units, an improved Manna Centre and Church facilities will also be provided. The commercial units are specifically for small businesses (SME’s). A private courtyard will be at the centre of the proposal with communal roof terraces at upper levels. The development has been designed to enhance Melior Street and Snowsfields and to bring more small businesses to the area in order to create a vibrant addition to the community.
