New School for Houlton announced next to Crest Nicholson’s Hansford Park

A brand new secondary school is to be built in the new neighbourhood of Houlton, on the site of the former Rugby Radio Station, known locally as the “mast site”, next to Crest Nicholson’s Hansford Park development.

Department for Education (DfE) funding approval has been given to turn the Grade II Listed Building, which was the hub of global communications in the 1920s, into a multi-million pound Free School. The school will be led by the Transforming Lives Educational Trust (TLET), of which the Ofsted Outstanding Ashlawn School is part of.

Amanda Benjamin, Sales and Marketing Director at Crest Nicholson Midlands, said: “The new school is an important milestone in the exciting growth of Houlton. We’re looking forward to working with our partners to see the project come to fruition. The school will provide a great opportunity for the young people of the community to learn in an iconic building.”

Hansford Park in Houlton comprises a contemporary collection of one and two bedroom apartments, and two, three and four bedroom houses. The development forms part of an exciting new community in Houlton with easy access to a range of local amenities and 500 acres of beautiful, open space. Residents will enjoy the best of both worlds, surrounded by countryside, whilst also benefiting from excellent transport connections with Rugby train station just four miles away and offering regular links into Birmingham and central London.

Prices for a one bedroom apartment at Hansford Park start from £169,950, with three bedroom houses starting from £254,950. For more information on this development, please call 01788 524320 or visit www.crestnicholson.com/hansfordpark.
