The purpose of the visit was for the local MP to tour Finberry and gain better insight into how the development is progressing and to find out how well homes are selling on the site. Mr Green was particularly interested to find out more about buyer profiles, to determine what proportion of the homes have been bought by local residents, and also how many have been purchased via the Government’s Help to Buy scheme.
The Rt Hon. Damian Green MP, said “I was delighted to see the progress made at Finberry both in terms of housebuilding and in the way the streets are arranged to enhance the quality of the environment. It is really important for new developments in Ashford to be high quality, and I have every confidence that Finberry will live up to this standard.”
Peter Diffley, Managing Director at Crest Nicholson’s Eastern division, said “It was a pleasure to welcome the Rt Hon Damian Green MP to our Finberry site on Friday. Finberry is an integral part of the future of Ashford and has flourished over the last few years. The visit was a fantastic opportunity for Damian to see first-hand the how the development is shaping up and understand its impact on the local area.”
