A recent survey has revealed that many first time buyers have their priorities wrong when looking for a new home as they don’t think about the wider picture of the area they are buying in, the quality of the home and the local community*. One couple who recently settled into life at Crest Nicholson’s Ingress Park development in Greenhithe however, knew they were making the right decision, having rented at the development for 18 months prior to purchasing their first home there.
Ali Broome (23) and her partner Joe Foster (23) rented an apartment in The Pier phase of the development and enjoyed its location and community feel so much that, when they heard that the last phase of houses to be built on site, Papermill Walk, was to be released for sale they jumped at the chance to buy their first home.
Ali said: “We first came across Ingress Park as Joe had a friend who lived there and when we visited we really liked the location and the views over the river. At the time we weren’t ready to buy a home of our own but took the opportunity to ‘try before you buy’ and rented an apartment in The Pier. During our time there we just thought it was an ideal place in which to settle down. When we heard about the plans for Papermill Walk we knew that we had to snap up the chance and bought ourselves a three-bedroom home.
“We wanted a house that we can expand into when we’re ready and we really can’t imagine living anywhere else. The sales staff have been so helpful, even when we were renting, and the amazing sense of community makes it a very friendly place to live. The development is great for families thanks to all the green space, and for young couples like us access to Bluewater shopping centre is really easy - we probably go twice a week to have dinner, go to the cinema or just go shopping. It really is an all-round ideal place for all types of people and we couldn’t be happier that we made it our home.”
Ingress Park is set in 72 acres of mature grounds, with a regenerated riverside walk and heritage trail. Another unique feature is the grass amphitheatre, a focus for community events and summer picnics.
Papermill Walk is the latest phase of homes to be released for sale at Ingress Park includes one bedroom apartments and coach houses as well as four-bedroom family homes. This phase will be the last small neighbourhood offering houses at Ingress Park and the design of this phase has been carefully created to offer a community way of life, including some desirable detached homes which are highly sought after in the area. Many of the properties on offer have a balcony or terrace for residents to enjoy the views of either the river or the grounds of Ingress Park.
Ingress Park is extremely well located. The recently opened Ebbsfleet International Station offers direct services to London St Pancras in just 17 minutes. Nearby Greenhithe Station also provides fast and efficient services in to London Bridge (45 minutes), London Victoria (60-90 minutes), London Cannon Street (50 minutes), Waterloo East (43 minutes) and London Charing Cross (50 minutes). Residents can also benefit from being able to join the motorway network at Junction 1A of the M25 for easy connections to all major UK airports.
