Leading house builder Crest Nicholson has completed on the purchase of a 70 home development with detailed planning consent in Swadlincote, Derbyshire.
The new development will bring a mixture of homes ranging from two to four bedrooms all featuring PV solar panels and Electric Vehicle Charge Points. Crest Nicholson has also committed £500,000 towards improvements to education, outdoor recreation and highway and transport infrastructure.
The development forms part of the wider Woodville Regeneration Area which has outline permission for further residential dwellings and employment space for a range of uses and new areas of public open space and landscaping.
Jude Booth, Head of Land for Crest Nicholson Midlands said:
“We are delighted to acquire this development to provide high quality new homes for residents to meet local demand along with playing a pivotal role in the wider Woodville Regeneration.”
Work is anticipated to start in early 2026 with the first homes due for completion at the end of 2026.
