Local house builder Crest Nicholson has raised £800 across its Yorkshire developments throughout November to help support the essential works of local foodbanks this Christmas.
Crest Nicholson chose to support foodbanks, as they have become a vital hub in many communities, providing immediate support to individuals and families facing food insecurity and ensuring that no one goes hungry during times of crisis.
The money was raised on behalf of the communities at:
- Copley Park who supported the Doncaster Foodbank
- Meadow Fields who supported the Rainbow Centre’s emergency food provision
- Dalton Gardens who supported the Welcome Centre Foodbank
- Cygnet View who supported the East Yorkshire Foodbank
Mandy from East Yorkshire Foodbank said:
“we’re grateful to Crest Nicholson for this festive donation. This support of food banks recognises that everywhere has people who are struggling, and those people can be homeowners and working families. One large unexpected bill or redundancy can tip a family into short-term crisis. Community donations such as this are crucial to ensuring there is food to eat while people get back on their feet.”
