With only two properties now remaining at the Orchard Gate development in Shoreham-by-Sea, the local community and staff at Crest Nicholson have sent messages to the future by burying a time capsule in the grounds.

The ceremony – which was held on Tuesday 10 June – saw site manager Nick Petrov; the Chairman of the League of Friends at the Southlands Hospital Malcolm Brett; and the Chairman of Adur District Council and Orchard Gate resident Councillor Mike Mendoza gather to bury the capsule deep under ground.

A range of local items including the Orchard Gate site plans, the memoir ‘Memories of Shoreham-by-Sea’ written by the late Reverend White, a local newspaper published on Tuesday 10th June and photographs of the original site were placed inside the capsule.

With the capsule now buried, the countdown is on for buyers wanting to get hold of one of the brand new luxury four-bedroom properties. The two ‘Crawley’ houses have been thoughtfully planned, meticulously designed and benefit from low maintenance living with high quality features at a competitive price. Designed with the family in mind, the properties combine contemporary features with all the essential home comforts. The stylish kitchens are fully fitted with brushed steel Bosch appliances and there is a separate dining area with French doors, which open onto a spacious garden. All four bedrooms are a good size and the main bedroom is designed with luxury in mind, which includes an en suite, fitted wardrobe and private terrace.

Christine Tiernan, Sales and Marketing Director for Crest Nicholson South, said: “The time capsule and these beautiful houses represent the final milestone of the Orchard Gate story. This really is the last opportunity for buyers to purchase a brand new property at our successful Orchard Gate development. Anyone interested should arrange a viewing to see first hand the quality and lifestyle that Orchard Gate has to offer.”

The remaining four-bedroom town houses at Orchard Gate are only a short walk to the beach and the popular Holmbush shopping centre. Shoreham Mainline Station is close by – with direct services to London Victoria in just over an hour.

Prices start from £437,500 for the four-bedroom houses. For more information visit or call 0870 750 8401.
