The final selection of what will be the last new apartments at Bath Riverside for at least two years are now on the market.

House hunters looking to buy a property of this type and specification are now being advised to act or risk having to wait until at least 2018 before more become available.

Including a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, the properties can be found at Crest Nicholson’s award-winning, waterside development that has transformed the former Stothert & Pitt Engineer and Founders into an area that has revitalised the south banks of the river and delivered high-quality housing.

News on this final availability is set to accelerate interest especially as prospective buyers who haven’t been to the development before have come to realise what has been achieved.

A 15 minute walk from the city-centre, those who have made Bath Riverside their home are able to make the most of being able to stroll along the pedestrian tow path either to work or to enjoy the sights and sounds of the historic and cosmopolitan city.

The development is also on the doorstep of numerous bus routes while the much heralded Bath city car club scheme allows those needing to use a car the chance to hire what they need without having to worry about looking after their own vehicle.

Christine Hamilton Crest Nicholson Regeneration sales advisor of the year is strongly urging potential buyers to consider making an offer now, not only to secure the property they want but to avoid having to wait for the next collection of apartments to become available.

Christine said: “The popularity of this type of property is evident based on sales to date at the development. There are also no other new apartments being built to this level of specification and quality in the whole of Bath which places more of an urgency for those wanting to buy.

“New rules on energy performance certificates that are set to come into force by 2018 will also mean older properties in the city will become harder to both let and sell, so acting now would be the more prudent thing to do.”

Located in Alexandra House the apartments are, according to Christine, ideal for a range of buyers including first timers, investors, downsizers and those who just fancy a change.

She is now keen to make sure those who think there is plenty of time to think again and make up their minds!

Christine added: “Apartments at Bath Riverside have always proved popular and these particular properties are no exception.

“It’s vital that anyone who was considering buying an apartment at the development make up their mind now. Once they are all sold, that’ll be it for a couple of years as we enter a phase where the main focus will be on houses.”
