Award-winning developer Crest Nicholson is celebrating success after its Monksmoor Park development in Daventry was highly commended in the ‘Best Housing Scheme (500 homes or more)’ category at the annual Planning Awards.

The awards, that recognise excellence in UK housebuilding planning and placemaking, took place in London on Wednesday 6th of June. The Daventry-based development came second only to Crest Nicholson’s Tadpole Garden Village development in Swindon, Wiltshire, which was named overall winner of the category.

Monksmoor Park was commended in these awards for its positive impact on its surrounding environment, and the economic and social well-being it offers the local surroundings. The development has been built with 21st Century Garden Village principles in mind, to provide not only housing but also a modern, vibrant community.

As part of the Monksmoor Park development, Crest Nicholson is investing £11.2m in the local area in order to provide a number of assets to benefit Daventry and its surrounding areas, including a new primary school set to open this September, as well as new health facilities.

Andrew Dobson, Managing Director at Crest Nicholson Strategic Projects, said: “We’re extremely proud to be recognised at these industry-leading awards. These accolades are a testament to the high-quality homes on offer at both Monksmoor Park and Tadpole Garden Village, and Crest Nicholson’s commitment to building communities that will be enjoyed both now and for generations to come.”

Crest Nicholson currently has two phases at Monksmoor Park; Waterside and Meadowside. Homes at Waterside start from £279,950 for a three-bedroom house. Homes at Meadowside start from £224,950 for a two-bedroom house. To find out more about Monksmoor Park visit
