Award winning Developer Crest Nicholson has now raised over £1 million for Variety, the Children’s Charity. Crest Nicholson has supported Variety for many years in order to provide practical, tangible help for sick, disabled or disadvantaged children and their families, across the UK.

Money has been raised for the charity by employees, sub-contractors and suppliers through numerous awards ceremonies, golf days, sporting events and even ‘dress down Fridays’ at Crest Nicholson’s divisional offices, all of which have contributed towards this landmark achievement. Throughout their long-running support of the charity, Crest Nicholson has funded the donation of 27 Variety ‘Sunshine Coaches’ to schools across the South of England.

The £1 million mark was surpassed following Crest Nicholson Regeneration’s annual charity ball, which took place on Thursday 24th of November at the Hilton London Heathrow Airport, and raised £100,000, with a hugely popular charity raffle and auction.

Helen Saunders, Group Marketing Director at Crest Nicholson, said “To have raised over £1 million for Variety is an outstanding achievement, and I would like to thank all of those who have helped us achieve this milestone. The work that Variety undertakes is closely aligned to our own aims at Crest Nicholson whereby we aim to work with and improve the local communities within which we operate. We look forward to continuing to work with Variety over the coming years and raising even more vital funds for this extremely worthwhile cause.”

Mike Haszko, Variety’s Head of Corporate Fundraising, commented “We’re absolutely delighted with hitting the fantastic fundraising total of £1 million, and incredibly grateful to Crest Nicholson for all their invaluable support. The generous donations they have given us have been crucial in enabling us to help improve the lives of children, and has provided the funding for additional Sunshine coaches, sensory equipment and wheelchairs.”
