Award-winning developer Crest Nicholson has announced its support of the Wantage Choral Society by donating £500 to aid its fundraising appeal.
The donation will enable the society to increase the number of concerts involving orchestras. The overall aim is to enhance the appeal to the public and provide a more enjoyable experience for the choir. In addition, the funding will provide a redesigned and updated website for the group, which will attract new members and larger audiences to help safeguard the Society’s future.
The local mixed voice choir group has been performing over 70 years and is made up of singers from Wantage and surrounding towns and villages.
David Hnyda, Sales and Marketing Director at Crest Nicholson Chiltern said: “We’re pleased to be able to offer our support to the Wantage Choral Society. The group is a long-standing part of local community and we’re proud to invest in the areas in which we develop.
“With a background in music and the arts myself, I’m thrilled to be able to assist the society in encouraging more people in the area to get involved with this important local organisation.”
Geoff Williams, Chairman of the Wantage Choral Society said: “It is only generous donations from organisations like Crest Nicholson that enable charities like Wantage Choral Society to aspire to increase public appreciation of their performance.”
