Article image When Mark Maidment and his fiancée Kate Fox purchased their first home at Crest Nicholson’s Westerleigh Mews development in Yate, they knew they were investing in the best. As a Crest Nicholson employee, choosing the development was an easy decision for Mark to make.

“I’m originally from Yate so I know the area really well, and we were keen to move back there after living in Patchway for a while. It’s a lovely place to live, as you are able to enjoy the space of living out of the city, but are close enough to Bristol or Bath to commute very easily. Working for Crest Nicholson, I knew that the houses at Westerleigh Mews were great, and we couldn’t wait to take a look”, explained Mark.

Having lived in an older property for a number of years, Mark and Kate were keen to start afresh in a new build. Mark continued: “Despite working for Crest Nicholson, we had never lived in a new build property before. My fiancée Kate was particularly excited about the chance to choose our kitchen and bathroom fixtures and fittings, and I loved the fact that everything would be brand new and really high quality.”

Mark continued: “We were really impressed with all the homes available at Westerleigh Mews but decided to go with the three bedroom Hampshire house in the end, as we really loved its layout, especially the fact that the kitchen and dining area was separate from the living room. The house is also sat away from any busy roads, which is perfect for Mitzy our cat.”

Mark and Kate were already aware of the support Crest Nicholson gives to its customers, and took full advantage of the help available: “We knew that the sales staff at Crest Nicholson would support us throughout the buying process, and they didn’t disappoint. We were kept up to date and informed so we knew exactly where we were during every step of the purchasing process – we couldn’t wait to move in!”

A short commute to the buzz of Bristol and close to the beautiful spa city of Bath, Westerleigh Mews has something for everyone, making for a perfect work / life balance. Residents can enjoy everything from activity-packed weekends at Bristol’s Cabot Circus shopping centre, relaxing walks around the lake at Kingsgate Park or play nine holes at Chipping Sodbury Golf Club.

Prices at Westerleigh Mews currently start from £210,995 for the three bedroom Hereford house, £241,995 for the four bedroom Hallingbury house, and £309,995 for the four bedroom Monkfield house.

A number of purchasing schemes are available at Westerleigh Mews to help make moving home more affordable and stress free, including the new Government-backed Help to Buy scheme.  For more information please visit the on-site Sales and Marketing suite (open Thursday to Monday, 10am to 5pm), call 0845 8943 346, email or visit
