Interior of bedroom in Caldwick show home

Achieving the Bretforton Village style

Award-winning housebuilder Crest Nicholson has teamed up with its interiors expert Andy Richardson from Claude Hooper Interiors LTD to share his top style tips to help Worcestershire homeowners get the look this season.

Andy is the creative mind behind the interiors at the new Caldwick show home at Bretforton Village in Evesham and a former Wedgwood designer.  He believes everyone can update their home, whatever their budget, and has identified two simple and achievable ways to get on trend which will look great in any home, regardless of shape and size.

Andy Richardson, Claude Hooper interiors said: “Using colours is a great way to create an easy and accessible look in your room, and is sure to be a trend that will be around for a long time. To keep an air of relaxation, particularly in bedrooms, you can adopt a pastel palette in a selection of colours through bedding and accessories, meaning that you can keep updating the look for a reasonable cost.”

Andy continues, “Another big trend is incorporating British style. This was reflected last year with a palette of red, white and blue, but this has evolved for this season into a slightly vintage feel. Prints, through wallpaper and fabric are in abundance, and are also easy to come-buy through stores, local markets and fabric shops. Using a print on a statement wall or introducing a fabric through accessories is a really easy way to create the look. Also decorate the house with fresh flowers to bring the English countryside in.”

Potential house-hunters can see Andy’s interior design flair and expertise showcased at Crest Nicholson’s Breforton Village development in the Vale of Evesham. The development comprises a stunning collection of traditional three, four and five bedroom homes designed to reflect the rural character of the picturesque surroundings. Bretforton Village offers the perfect environment for growing families as the majority of homes are detached with gardens and all benefit from the added bonus of a central green for use by the community.

Prices at Bretforton Village currently start from £207,960 for a three bedroom Huntingdon house or from £295,160 for a four bedroom Copthorne house using the government’s Help to Buy Scheme.  The scheme enables homebuyers to own their home for just 80 percent of the purchase price with a deposit of as little as five per cent. The remaining 20 per cent of the property price is lent to the purchaser by the Government and is interest free for the first five years.
