Demolition of the last remaining buildings at the former ‘Billy Banks’ Estate in Penarth will begin on Tuesday 8 May to make way for the next phase of construction at Penarth Heights, the landmark development of new build homes from award-winning housebuilder Crest Nicholson. The demolition work will see the removal of the last remaining units and is scheduled to be completed by the end of September 2012.
Perfectly located overlooking the beautiful marina and within easy walking distance of Penarth town centre, Penarth Heights will include 377 contemporary new houses and apartments comprising 20 per cent affordable homes. It will offer a range of one, two, three and four bedroom homes suitable for a wide variety of purchasers, from first time buyers to families and has already proved a big hit with over 40 per cent of homes now sold on the first phase.
Homes at Penarth Heights have been on sale for just over a year and the first residents moved in in autumn 2011. The site’s latest show apartment, the two-bedroom Royal, which enjoys a spacious living room leading onto a private balcony and master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, opened to the public in February this year and Crest Nicholson plans to launch a further show house later this month.
Sandra Dixon, Sales and Marketing Director for Crest Nicholson, said: “This is the final stage of demolition work to be undertaken at the site and we are delighted to be moving towards the second phase of development at Penarth Heights.
“Demand for homes at this prestigious development has been high and we’ve experienced interest from the whole spectrum of buyers, from young professionals to growing families and investors. We now have a number of first residents living on site and welcome potential purchasers to take a look round our show homes and get a feel for what living in this picturesque location can be like.
“Our professional friendly sales team are always happy to talk through the details of the development and the variety of house and apartment types on offer. We also have a number of schemes in place to support people on their journey on to and up the property ladder.”
Prices at Penarth Heights currently start at £120,000 for a one bedroom apartment, up to £750,000 for the five bedroom, four storey Admiral house. The two bedroom Royal apartment is available from £168,000.
