As part of the Adur Art Collective’s Art Trail (2-17 June), Crest Nicholson’s Orchard Gate development, located on Upper Shoreham Road, will be displaying some of the invited artists’ work in its Buckingham show home. Over 100 artists will be displaying their work across the Trail which includes locations in Southwick, Shoreham-by-Sea and Lancing.
Visitors will be able to follow the Trail around the region and reach the development, where seven artists’ work will be displayed in the luxury 3/4 bedroom town house. The show home will be decorated in bunting and banners so visitors know when they have found the next spot on the Trail. The artwork that will be displayed includes many paintings, photos, textiles and colleges from local artists, all of which are available to purchase.
Christine Tiernan, Sales and Marketing Director for Crest Nicholson South, said: “We are delighted to be involved in this year’s Adur Art Trail. The Buckingham show home is an ideal venue to showcase these wonderful pieces of work. The large open plan family room and kitchen provide plenty of space and light for visitors to admire the artwork. Don’t forget to get your loyalty card stamped when you come and visit us!”
Members of Orchard Gate’s sales team will be on hand to provide tours of the show home and information about the development over the two weeks, and over each of the three weekends, the featured artists will be there to talk through their pieces of work. The Trail also includes a number of workshops where visitors can paint, sculpt or sew. Children can hop, skip and jump their way around the Trail, using their own map and looking for clues and activities and prizes.
The local artists being displayed at the show home are painter, Shireen Avis, Emma Bennett whose work includes paintings and collages, painter Morag Blackburn, painting and textile artist Denise Collins, photograph manipulator Tony Day, lino printmaker specialist Carol Parker and acrylic artist Chris West.
