Crest Nicholson apprenticies in charity bird table test

Crest Nicholson apprentices put skills to the test in charity battle of the bird tables

Apprentices working for Crest Nicholson Regeneration’s Oakgrove Village development have helped raise £2,100 for the company’s charity partner Variety at the company’s annual charity ball.

The apprentices, from each of three Crest Nicholson Regeneration developments, were tasked with working in teams to create a bird table. Each creation raised £700 for the charity, with guests at Crest Nicholson Regeneration’s annual charity dinner bidding to own one of the bird tables.

Debbie Aplin, Managing Director of Crest Nicholson, Regeneration commented: “We wanted a creative and fun way to help raise money for Variety and also to get our apprentices to put their skills to the test creating something completely different. We were absolutely delighted with the creativity of the designs and the quality of their build – our apprentices really did us proud and it proved to be a fantastic way to raise money for Variety.”

The entries were judged on the evening, with the Oakgrove team awarded a gold certificate,  Bath Riverside awarded a silver certificate and Centenary Quay awarded a bronze certificate.

The evening overall raised in excess of £55,000 for Variety through raffles and auctions. Over the last four years, Crest Nicholson Regeneration has raised £180,000 for Variety at its annual charity ball with the overall total raised by the Crest Nicholson Group being £650,000 since the partnership commenced.
