An afternoon of sprints, hurdles and relays entertained crowds in Hammersmith and Fulham yesterday at The St Peters Festival annual Mini Olympics.
Over 70 local school children aged 7-12 years’ old came together to compete for the medals in front of guest of honour, The Worshipful The Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham, Councillor Frances Stainton. The Mayor handed out the prizes with representatives from Crest Nicholson, who sponsored the festival.
The Mini Olympics is part of an assortment of activities, from choir singing, music concerts to charity lunches and art exhibition, taking place 28th June until 7th July.
Julia Reynolds, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson, the local sponsors of St Peters Festival, said: “We are so proud to be the sponsors of this great festival; St Peters Church plays a vital role in the local community and we’re delighted to be part of a fantastic fundraising project. We understand the importance of community spirit and we are always happy to support local projects, charities and businesses.”
This event took place near one of Crest Nicholson’s popular developments, St Peters Place, which is home to luxurious apartments and townhouses.
St Peters Place is in close proximity to Chiswick High Road and an array of stylish boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants, with Westfield Shopping Village also easily accessible to the East. Chiswick’s relaxed café culture, coupled with green spaces, has attracted many high-profile residents over the years, and the grand Georgian houses of St Peters Square have lent the area a refined character.
St Peters Place benefits from excellent transport links, with Stamford Brook Station (District line) just 200 meters away, and the A4 and M4 on the doorstep. People are now able to register their interest in the townhouses at St Peters Place.
