Cllr Chris Brown, councillor for Kings Hill, has officially opened Lysander Mews, the new development by award-winning developers Crest Nicholson in Kings Hill, near West Malling. Cllr Brown was joined by James Moody, Managing Director of Crest Nicholson Eastern.
Guests gathered for Cllr Brown to perform the official duties and cut the ribbon to declare the site officially open. Visitors were also given a tour of the brand new three-bedroom show house.
Cllr Brown said: “I am delighted to be here today to officially open Lysander Mews. I have lived in Kings Hill for 12 years and it has been wonderful to watch the development grow into the thriving community it is today. The site has always been intrinsic to the local area, serving as an airplane base during World War II; it is fantastic that it continues to serve the local residents by providing much-needed homes. I wish Crest Nicholson every success with this latest phase.”
James Moody, Managing Director for Crest Nicholson Eastern, said: “I’d like to thank Cllr Brown for visiting us and for declaring Lysander Mews, Crest Nicholson’s fifth phase at Kings Hill, open. Crest Nicholson has been building at Kings Hill for the past 10 years, bringing around 250 new homes to the area; Lysander Mews marks an exciting new chapter in its history.
“The overall vision and quality delivery of the Kings Hill project is in a large part due to the vision and tenacity of Liberty who have master planned and set out a clear journey from the start. It is hard to think of another project in the south east which has been so well delivered over time.
“Today, Kings Hill is a busy, vibrant community and encapsulates the meaning of a sustainable environment, which is clearly demonstrated by the popularity of the homes and how quickly they sell. We are thrilled to be here again and look forward to helping more local buyers onto and up the property ladder at Lysander Mews.”
Lysander Mews comprises an exclusive collection of just 19 two, three and four-bedroom traditionally styled homes. With a mix of house sizes and designs, homes are designed to appeal to buyers at all stages, from first time buyers taking their first steps onto the property ladder, to young and growing families keen to be near the countryside and good schools, as well retirees looking to downsize in an attractive and peaceful environment.
Set around numerous facilities, including a village green, cricket green and golf course, homes at Lysander Mews are formed in attractive neighbourhoods linked with foot and cycle paths. The development is also situated adjacent to Liberty Square, a central area which houses numerous retailers including Waitrose and Costa Coffee. Nearby West Malling offers a range of independent stores and a farmers market while the larger towns of Maidstone and Sevenoaks are just a short drive away and offer an even more varied retail choice.
Kings Hill caters extremely well for families, with facilities including a community centre and nursery, while nearby high performing schools include the Kings Hill School, The Discovery School and Oakwood Park Grammar School. Just a short commute can take you to the grammar schools in Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone.
Kings Hill has been designed to help residents live a more sustainable lifestyle with amenities close by and a well-designed cycle path network reducing the need for a car, although parking is provided for all residents. A car share scheme is also in operation and there are strong local public transport links. Homes at Lysander Mews incorporate energy saving features such as combination boilers, low energy lighting, double glazing and high levels of wall and loft insulation.
All homes will be finished to the high quality associated with Crest Nicholson. Properties also come complete with the National House Building Council (NHBC) 10 year warranty providing ultimate peace of mind as well as a dedicated customer care service team for two years after the purchase. Crest Nicholson homes are perfect for a lifestyle that is low in maintenance and high in style.
The development is in a fantastic location for commuters with West Malling station a short five minute drive away offering connections to London Victoria and Blackfriars in under an hour. By road residents can enjoy links to the south-east motorway networks including the M20, M25 and M26.
