Leading house builder Crest Nicholson has teamed up with Northgate School to offer students a unique insight into the construction industry. Five students aged 16 and 17 visited Crest Nicholson’s Vista development in Ipswich to experience first-hand the construction process and speak to industry professionals.

The students were given a tour of the site, followed by a talk about the day-to-day operations. The tour ended with an opportunity to see the finished product as students visited the show homes.

Jim Jenner, Design and Technology teacher from Northgate School, said: “Our visit to Vista was a great opportunity for the students to get out of the classroom and onto an actual development site. The students are all thinking about the next steps in their educational careers and this introduction to the world of work was hugely beneficial.”

Annette Cole, Sales and Marketing Director for Crest Nicholson Eastern, said: “We were delighted to pass on our knowledge and experience to such an enthusiastic and inquisitive group of pupils. We are trying to inspire the next generation of construction professionals and provide the training they need to be a success.”

The Vista development comprises a selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes. Currently available are traditional four-bedroom family homes starting from £225,000.

In response to high demand, additional three-bedroom homes will be released shortly. For details, please call the Sales & Marketing Suite, open daily from 10am-5pm, on 0870 757 8182 or e-mail vista@crestnicholson.com. Alternatively, visit www.crestnicholson.com/vista.
