Borough Green Primary School welcomes library donation from Crest Nicholson

Award-winning developer, Crest Nicholson, visited Borough Green Primary School this week to read with the children and celebrate their donation of new furniture for the school library. Crest Nicholson Eastern’s Managing Director, Peter Diffley and Sales and Marketing Director, Annette Cole, spent time with the children on Wednesday to make the most of the new facilities.

Crest Nicholson has strong links with Borough Green thanks to their Hazelbourne development which is located in the village, offering families a selection of stylish homes in a semi-rural setting.

Karen Sandberg, Headteacher, Borough Green Primary School said: “At Borough Green we believe reading is the key skill that enables you to access all other areas of the curriculum. We are fortunate to have a wonderful library at the heart of our school but over the years it had become very ‘tired’ last being decorated over 20 years ago.

“Crest Nicholson provided the funds to not only enable us to redecorate and lay new carpet but to renew the furniture. Our library has been transformed and is loved and extensively used by all 300 children at the school. We are extremely grateful to Crest Nicholson as without their financial support and keen interest in the children’s education this would not have been possible.”

Annette Cole, Sales and Marketing Director, Crest Nicholson Eastern said: “The Library at Borough Green Primary School is such an integral part of the school, and we’re delighted to have been able to support the children with their reading. We were thrilled to see the children so enthusiastic about reading and hope they benefit from their new furniture for years to come.”

Hazelbourne is a traditional collection of two bedroom apartments and coach houses, two and three bedroom cottages and four-bedroom family homes. Situated in woodland, with the North Downs on their doorstep, the new homes benefit from having the A25 close by, providing access to Sevenoaks and Maidstone for all local amenities and schools including Borough Green Primary School.
