Having lived in their previous home for 34 years, when Terry and Lynne Allen decided they needed a change of scene they were determined to move to nothing short of their dream home. Top of their list of requirements was a new home which would be easy to maintain and was situated within a friendly community; they found what they were looking for at Crest Nicholson’s Liberty Park development in Wainscott, Kent.
Terry Allen (56) said: “After so many years, moving home was a real wrench – we had to make sure that it was to the right place. We had no intention of moving again; we really did our homework and shopped around as we had to be 100% sure that we were doing the right thing and moving to the best possible property which would suit our needs for the rest of our lives.
“We only considered buying a new property as we just didn’t want to deal with any of the problems that can often occur in older, second hand properties, such as windows needing replacing, old electrics requiring updating and roofs in need of repair. We own and run a funeral directors in Wainscott which can be very stressful and we often have hard days; we wanted a haven to come home to each night where we could simply relax. We were thrilled when we discovered Liberty Park.
“We absolutely love our home and love living here. It really is a dream come true for us and has meant that all our hard work over the years has paid off. We bought a four-bedroom detached house which has plenty of space for us as well as our children and grandchildren when they visit. The whole top floor of the house is dedicated to the master bedroom, dressing area and ensuite bathroom so Lynne and I have superb privacy even when we have a full house. We have a lovely big garden and we’ve even built a pergola so it’s wonderful in the summer.”
Lynne Allen continues: “It wasn’t just the house itself that was important to us; the situation was equally essential. There’s no point living in a fabulous house in an undesirable location – it was crucial that we enjoyed being in the area. Liberty Park ticked all the boxes for us. As the development has grown over a number of years, a really strong sense of community has built up. Everyone we’ve met is very friendly and there’s such a lovely atmosphere here – it’s almost like living in a holiday camp.
“There are super play areas for the younger children and it’s great to see the older ones playing football on the green, rather than being cooped up indoors watching television or playing computer games.
“As well as being close to the town which is handy for work and shopping, we are really close to the countryside here which is wonderful. There are lots of lovely walks nearby and we’ve been able to get out and about to explore and make the most of all that living at Liberty Park has to offer.”
Terry concludes: “We are both extremely happy and without doubt made the right decision. I strongly recommend living here; we’ve never been more content.”
Liberty Park comprises a contemporary collection of stylish one and two-bedroom apartments, two-bedroom coach houses and two, three and four-bedroom houses. Homes are situated on pretty tree-lined boulevards, surrounded by landscaped open space.
