Ryan Mills, 33, and his partner, Davina Rigley, 28, recently moved to Crest Nicholson’s Elms Farm development in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex. After renting for a year, the couple had decided to move into Davina’s parents’ home to save for their first home together. This strategic move allowed them to save money and secure their dream home with Crest Nicholson.

The couple decided to purchase ‘The Farnham’ three-bedroom home using Help to Buy after hearing more about the Government scheme from Crest Nicholson’s sales advisors. Ryan and Davina were also attracted by the additional protection afforded by the Crest Nicholson 10-year warranty cover. “Purchasing a new build home that we could move into straight away was the ideal decision for us,” said Ryan. “It was a weight off our shoulders knowing that if something went wrong, we had a safety blanket which allowed us to just enjoy our first home together,” added Ryan.

Ryan and Davina are not from the area but were sold on the property thanks to the beautiful countryside setting, outstanding transport links to London and the amenities the village offers. The couple can enjoy the best of both worlds, surrounded by green space and are only a five-minute walk to the station which benefits from trains to London every 30 minutes.

Davina, a marketing manager based in Hertfordshire, and Ryan, a software salesman based in Covent Garden, made transport links a top priority whilst searching for their home. They were looking for the perfect location to suit their commuter lifestyles, and Elms Farm offered exactly what they needed. Stansted Mountfitchet is perfectly positioned as it offers regular trains into the City, with a journey of under an hour to London Liverpool Street station. The M11 and A120 are accessible from the development, making it easy for Davina’s commute to work. For those looking to travel further afield, Stansted Airport is just six miles away from the development.

The couple fell in love with the village of Stansted Mountfitchet and its local boutiques, shops, pubs, which contribute to the community feel. Their new home caught Ryan and Davina’s eye because of the “quaint” setting and “great character”. All homes at Elms Farm come equipped with open plan fully-fitted kitchens, and spacious and airy living rooms, perfect for social and family gatherings. The couple is excited to now start work on their garden in preparation for Spring 2019. “We are so happy with the property and can’t wait to have family and friends over,” said Ryan.

Prices start from £499,500 for a four bedroom house. For more information about the development or the Help To Buy scheme, please call 01279 299 010 or visit www.crestnicholson.com/elms-farm.
