Local housebuilder Crest Nicholson has secured planning approval for the next phase of its Westwood Park development in Coventry. The newest phase will feature 296 new homes, with 40% designated as affordable homes as well as a convenience store, allotments, a play area, multi-use games area and 25 acres of public open spaces.

The two-to-three-bedroom homes and one-bedroom apartments joining Westwood Park include the three-bedroom Seaton house type. The Seaton is a detached property and features a large open-plan kitchen diner, with a spacious separate living room, ideal for hosting friends and family. The downstairs living space also feature French doors which flood it with natural light, and lead directly out to the garden.  Upstairs, the home offers three double bedrooms, including one main bedroom with an en suite and a built-in wardrobe. All homes are built with energy saving features that will provide customers with savings on their energy bills and the sustainable materials utilised within construction will minimise waste and the time spent on site.

Tim Brickley, Managing Director at Crest Nicholson Midlands, commented: “We are pleased to have been granted planning permission for the next phase at Westwood Park. The development is already proving popular with local buyers and this new expansion will allow us to continue meeting customer demand for high-quality homes in this sought-after location in the Midlands.”

Situated in the Westwood Heath area of southwest Coventry, Westwood Park is only a 14-minute drive from the vibrant city centre, or a half hour bus ride. For those with older children, the development is the perfect choice with the University of Warwick just over one mile away. Westwood Park is also ideally located for commuters, offering easy access to the A45, M42 and M6, and a direct connection from Coventry train station to London Euston in an hour.

The new phase at Westwood Park is due to be launched in 2024. Deposit Unlock and Deposit Booster, the industry led support schemes for first-time buyers, and Crest Nicholson’s Smooth Move and Part Exchange schemes will be available on selected properties.
