Award winning house builder Crest Nicholson has made a £1,000 donation to purchase new kits for (age of team to be added tbc) Lydney Rugby Football Club (Lydney RFC) on behalf of the community at its Mirum Park development in Lydney itself. The new kit includes much needed tackle safe equipment and essential water bottles for the team and coaching staff.

The historic Lydney Rugby Club was founded in 1888 and is known for its long running success, having produced several internationals such as Chris Williams, Gordon Sargent, Bev Dovey, Trevor Wintle and Peter Kingston.

Clare Brimble, Sales and Marketing Director at Crest Nicholson South West, said: “Sporting teams are an integral part of the local community, encouraging interaction with our neighbours and helping everyone stay active, so we’re delighted to be able to support Lydney Rugby Club with this donation. Wishing the team the best of luck on the pitch!”

Duncan Sleeman, Chairman, Lydney Rugby Club, said: “Crest Nicholson’s generous donation will support us in providing our players with the best-in-class kit to continue their sporting journeys, whilst staying active and building upon Lydney’s values of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship.”

Just a five-minute drive from Lydney Rugby Football Club is Mirum Park, comprising a range of traditionally designed three and four-bedroom homes. It is ideally located within the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, between the Forest of Dean and the River Severn – so there are plenty of open spaces to enjoy.

Prices at Mirum Park start from £270,000 for a three bedroom home, and £290,000 for four bedroom homes. The Smooth Move, Part Exchange and Deposit Unlock schemes are available on selected properties.
