Award winning housebuilder Crest Nicholson has made a £1,000 donation towards a new playground at the recently-opened Westvale Park Primary Academy in Horley on behalf of the community at its nearby development, Westvale Park.

The new play equipment – which will be utilised by students from nursey and beyond as the school grows – is designed to help children build their climbing confidence, upper and lower body strength, core stability, balance, and gross motor skills.

Eileen Guihen, Sales and Marketing Director at Crest Nicholson South, said: “The opening of Westvale Park Primary Academy late last year marked a major milestone for the local community of Horley. We are pleased to be able support students and their families through our donation and hope that this new play equipment will allow the children to continue to grow and flourish.”

Liz Gray, spokesperson for Parents of Westvale Park Primary Academy, said: “The past year has been unsettling for students with the disruption of Covid so the new playground will serve as a source of joy and entertainment – as well as exercise and development – for children for many years to come. We are extremely grateful to Crest Nicholson for its kind donation towards purchasing the equipment.”

Westvale Park features a collection of two, three, four and five bedroom houses and apartments, perfectly positioned less than a mile away from the centre of Horley. The village-style development offers a range of new facilities with plans in place for further shops, pubs, restaurants, play areas and a community hall. While homes are surrounded by trees and grassland, providing peace and tranquillity, this vibrant new community is just a 47 minute train journey from London Bridge.

Prices start at £384,950 for a two bedroom home at Westvale Park and £469,950 for a three bedroom. SmoothMove, Part Exchange and the Government-backed Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme are available on selected properties.
