Award-winning developer Crest Nicholson has sponsored the Wells Swimming Club supporting its annual City of Wells Open Meet. The competition was held at Millfield School over the 6-7th April 2019, bringing together children from across the region.

The City of Wells Open Meet is one of the largest swimming meets of its kind in the South West, attracting around 500 swimmers and spectators annually. Crest Nicholson’s sponsorship donation ensured that the participants were kitted out in brand new swimming hats.

Neil Banwell, fundraising officer and committee member for Wells Swimming Club, commented: “The annual City of Wells Open Meet is one of the highlights of the swimming year for Wells Swimming Club and we were absolutely delighted to receive financial support from Crest Nicholson this year. As a small club, we rely on support from local companies, so it means a lot for us and all the swimmers.”

Laura Osborne, Sales Executive at Crest Nicholson South West, commented: “We are always looking for ways to help support the local community, and were pleased to see the talented swimmers at Wells Swimming Club donning their new swim hats over the weekend. Getting involved in community events and sports teams helps keep everyone active.”

For families in Wells looking to buy a new home, Crest Nicholson’s Vicarage Fields offers a great place to live with its well-established local community.
