Crest Nicholson’s The Apex Apartments in Crawley has been named the Best High Volume New Housing Development at this year’s South East LABC Building Excellence Awards. The title awarded to Crest Nicholson Regeneration and HGP Architects recognises the quality and standard of the development.

The LABC Building Excellence awards showcase buildings and design teams that have been faced with complex technical or construction issues and building site constraints. In addition, the awards celebrate the success of innovative, creative solutions across the five regions in the South East: Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

A short walk from Crawley town centre, The Apex Apartments has added 218 quality new homes to the local community. With over 90% of apartments now having sold, the development has proved to be particularly popular with first-time buyers purchasing through the Government’s Help to Buy scheme.

Crest Nicholson are committed to providing a seamless customer experience, including the creation of a brand-new digital Sales and Marketing Suite at Cubitt & West’s office on Grand Parade, High Street, coinciding the launch of the development in 2017. The suite is fully digital with interactive touch screens, giving buyers the ultimate immersive experience.

Marcus Evans, Sales & Marketing Director of Crest Nicholson Regeneration said: “We’re very proud that The Apex Apartments was named Best High Volume New Housing Development at this year’s LABC Building Excellence Awards. The Apex Apartments has made a tremendous contribution to the local community, providing much-needed, high-quality housing, particularly to the first-time buyer market. With 90% of the apartments having sold already, we look forward to welcoming our final few residents to the thriving community in Crawley soon.”

Paul Everall CBE, Chief Executive at LABC said: “These awards are different - they aren’t about good looks or fancy design, although many winners incorporate both. They are about quality and standards. No other building awards look at how well buildings are put together from start to finish and the skills and competencies of those who design and construct them. We are very proud of everyone involved – they show the way ahead for the industry.”
