Award winning housebuilder Crest Nicholson has announced the second phase of its popular development, Upper Longcross in Longcross, Surrey, will be launching in January 2020. Delivered in partnership with Southern Housing Group, this phase of the project will provide 78 much needed new homes to the local area.

Comprising 35 affordable units and 43 private units, the new phase will feature a collection of high quality one and two-bedroom apartments, ideal for the discerning local market. Externally, the apartments will feature white and grey feature brickwork to enhance the sense of character for the area. Both private blocks are set back at the top of the development, allowing for spacious penthouses and all apartments benefit from under croft parking.

The majority of the homes planned for Phase 2 of Upper Longcross will fall under the Government’s current Help-to-Buy: Equity Loan threshold. Construction has already started on site, with first build completions due in May 2020 and first occupations expected in summer 2020.

Scott Black, Managing Director at Crest Nicholson Regeneration, comments: “Upper Longcross is a beautiful and hugely successful scheme, with the development already flourishing into a vibrant new community. The first phase is now fully reserved and has been extremely popular with professionals and families relocating from London.

“Phase 2 will launch early in the new year and comprise two apartment blocks which will see a shift in target market from families and next-steppers to first time buyers and investors, who will be hoping to make the most out of the good transport links into London.

“At Crest Nicholson, we are passionate about creating balanced cohesive communities through strategic partnerships and quality placemaking. We are looking forward to seeing the scheme progress further and our partnership with Southern Housing Group grow.”

Oliver Boundy, Southern Housing Group’s Executive Director Development & Growth, comments: “We are proud of our investment in new homes in Surrey. With construction already underway at Longcross, we are working to create new, high-quality affordable homes in an area where these are in desperately short supply.

“As one of the UK’s largest housing associations, we’re proud to deliver our social purpose. Building more genuinely affordable homes is a fundamental part of the Group’s Growth Strategy and our Corporate Plan.”

Forming part of Surrey’s newest Garden Village, Upper Longcross is nestled within mature woodlands and swathes of open countryside, whilst being convenient for commuters. Upper Longcross station is within walking distance of the homes and offers direct links into London Waterloo in under an hour. By car, the M3 and M25 are easily accessible.
