John (41) and Panagiota (30) Koroneos had been renting a three bedroom home for over two years in Kingsnorth when they decided to purchase a four bedroom home at Bilham Farm, part of Crest Nicholson’s award-winning Finberry development in Ashford. The couple made the move with their two children, Evangelos (7) and Katerina (5), after falling in love with the village feel of the Kent development.

John and Panagiota, originally from Greece, decided they were ready to take the next step onto the property ladder and started looking for a new home as their tenancy agreement was coming to an end. John, a doctor, comments: “When looking for a new home we came across Finberry and instantly fell in love. It is surrounded by green spaces and feels like you are in the countryside without compromising on great amenities. We wanted a home surrounded by parks so our kids could spend time outdoors and enjoy the fresh air.”

Situated in the ‘Garden of England’, with the Kent Downs, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty nearby, Ashford offers families the best of town and countryside living. The new village of Finberry is home to a vibrant and flourishing community, which includes a play area and a new state of the art primary school.

Bilham Farm offers the best of modern living, and speaking about the house design, John says: “What really stood out for us was the quality of the homes. We’d been house hunting for a while, and nothing really compared to Crest Nicholson. The home ticked all of the boxes, it is extremely spacious, we have an extra room to convert into a guest bedroom, and a lovely back garden which we’ll be able to use year-round.” The family was set on buying a new build as “a new home meant it was hassle-free, we got to move in straight away, and the home is much more energy efficient,” continues John.

John adds: “We love that there are great schools in the area, and Evangelos and Katerina don’t have to go far for classes. When looking to move house we wanted to stay in the wider area as we didn’t want to uproot them completely - they were ecstatic to get bigger rooms and still be nearby to all of their friends.”

Bilham Farm is conveniently located for easy access to the M20 at Junction 10, with Ashford town centre and Ashford International station only a short drive away. Ideal for commuters, high-speed trains run regularly linking residents to London St Pancras in 38 minutes.
