Dog walkers come together at Highlands Park to celebrate National Pet Month

On Sunday, dog-lovers in Henley brought their canine companions together for a healthy day out in the Oxfordshire countryside at Highlands Park. Over 20 local people gathered for the walking event in celebration of National Pet Month, with attendees receiving goodie bags filled with dog treats for their four-legged friends to enjoy.

The dog walking activity covered a 60-minute scenic route, before ending at the development’s marketing suite. The group of excited dogs included various breeds, such as a Cockerpoo, Collie, and a beautiful French Bulldog.

National Pet Month is a nationwide event which aims to unite animal welfare charities, professional bodies, pet businesses, schools, youth groups and pet lovers each year. Highlands Park is a perfect location for dog owners with various green spaces nearby, expansive woodland areas well-suited for long walks, and a veterinary centre right on its doorstep.

David Hnyda, Sales & Marketing Director at Crest Nicholson Chiltern commented: “For many people, pets play an integral part of family life and when it comes to looking for a new home, often finding somewhere that suits the needs of a pet is high up on the priority list. Highlands Park is the ideal development for dog owners, offering spacious back gardens and a range of beautiful open spaces to explore on the doorstep.”

Highlands Park offers home owners the countryside lifestyle with easy access to the market town of Henley-on-Thames just around the corner. The Henley community is renowned for its idyllic riverside relaxation and hospitality. Each year, locals and tourists enjoy Henley’s summer Regatta, arts festival and the Rewind music festival. Highlands Park’s proximity to Twyford is also convenient for travelling, with the railway station connecting to London Paddington directly in under 50 minutes.
