Kings Meadow school fair

Award winning housebuilder Crest Nicholson sponsored an inflatable bungee run for Priory Rise primary school’s summer fair, for the students and local children to enjoy.

Priory Rise primary school, in Tattenhoe Park, Milton Keynes, has over 600 pupils and its popular summer fair helps raise money for the school’s charity and support the purchase of equipment for the students. In previous years, the money raised has enabled the school to buy brand new iPads for an entire year group, create a wall mural of a history timeline in one of the school’s main corridors, and purchased outdoor equipment including a reading den and climbing frame.

This year’s summer fair, on Friday 1st July, was the first fair the school has held since the start of the pandemic, and it raised £3,344. In addition to the inflatable bungee run, pupils were able to play with a bouncy castle, inflatable slide and football goal and played a variety of games such as name the teddy, guess the number of sweets in a jar, and hook a duck. As well as students at the school and their relatives, families living within Tattenhoe Park were able to enjoy the event with live music and entertainment.

Charlie Joseph, Sales and Marketing director at Crest Nicholson Chiltern, comments: “We were really pleased to be able to support the Priory Rise primary school’s summer fair with the sponsorship of an inflatable bungee run which we know was really popular with the older children who attended the event. At Crest Nicholson, we are not only committed to building homes but supporting the wider community. We look forward to working with the school in the future.”

Natalie Huff, Chair of Friends of Priory Rise PTA, said: “We were delighted to host our first face-to-face summer event since the start of Covid-19, our brand-new festival themed summer fair, ‘P Fest’.

“It’s been a very long time since we’ve welcomed families together in this way and it was great to come together, have some fun and raise money for our amazing school so we can continue to provide the best facilities and equipment for our wonderful children. We’re so grateful to the team at Crest Nicholson for sponsoring our event as it really shows the importance of communities coming together.”
