Highlands Park Community Dog Walk

Local Oxfordshire housebuilder Crest Nicholson hosted local people at a community dog walk at its Highlands Park development, on the edge of the historic market town of Henley-on-Thames, last weekend. It gave people and their furry friends the chance to get to know one another, explore the local area and picturesque Oxfordshire countryside, and raise money for a local dog charity.

The guided walk took the group around the ‘Trim Trail’ at Highlands Park, beginning at the Sales Suite and through the town of Henley to the Little Angel Pub to recharge. The dogs were given treats along the way and bandanas marked with the Crest logo.

To mark the occasion, Crest Nicholson has donated £300 on behalf of the walkers to nearby charity Stockenchurch Dog Rescue, an organisation set up by residents of the area to rehome and care for stray and abandoned dogs. The proceeds will go toward providing supplies and care to rescued dogs looking for new families, and their permanent residents who sadly cannot be rehomed.

Charlie Joseph, Sales and Marketing Director at Crest Nicholson Chiltern, said: “We’re always looking for new ways to bring people together, so it was a pleasure to host the local community and their furry friends at Highlands Park at the weekend. Highlands Park was the perfect setting for our dog walk – nestled within the rolling Oxfordshire countryside, and with its on site, dedicated Trim Trail – available not just for walkers living at Highlands Park, but the wider Henley-on-Thames community. We’re looking forward to welcoming more walkers, families, and dogs to Highlands Park in the future to explore the Trail and the green spaces we have on offer here.”

Located in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside, Highlands Park is a thriving community situated on the edge of the historic market town of Henley-on-Thames. Residents of the development can take advantage of the wide array of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants located in the bustling town centre. Being in close proximity to the towns of Reading and Maidenhead, whilst also being able to reach London by train in just an hour, it’s the perfect location for anyone looking to balance town and countryside living.
