Local housebuilder Crest Nicholson has received detailed planning approval for 150 homes and outline planning permission for 293 homes in the market town of Ringwood in Hampshire.
The development will bring a mixture homes and apartments ranging from one to five bedrooms. Homes will benefit from PV solar panels and Electric Vehicle Charging Points and of the 443 homes 30% have been allocated as affordable housing.
In addition to the high-quality new homes, the development will offer extensive open spaces, including children’s play areas, and nature friendly initiatives such as swift and bat bricks and hibernacula.
Crest Nicholson is also committing around £4.6 million towards improvements to local roads, schools, and open space and community infrastructure.
Nicholas Daruwalla, Land Director for Crest Nicholson South said:
“We are delighted to have received planning to deliver much needed high-quality new homes to Ringwood. This is the result of much work with the New Forest District Council, and other stakeholders, to bring new private and affordable homes and a range of other benefits to the local area.”
The site is located close to Ringwood town centre with easy access to the A31 leading to Bournemouth or the M27. Work is anticipated to start in spring 2026 with the first homes due for completion at the beginning of 2027.
