50% gone on current phase at Harbourside

Over 50% of the properties currently available at Bristol’s most desirable waterside property development have been sold.

News on the high level of demand comes from Crest Nicholson where the last phase at its Harbourside development, which is called ‘Invicta’, has clearly caught the imagination of househunters since its launch in the Autumn of last year.

With Invicta split into three separate stages, the eagerness of those wanting to live close to Bristol’s city-centre and next to the floating harbour has resulted in over 30 properties fly out the door on the first of these stages.

It means those thinking about buying a property at the development are being advised to visit the development to not only take a look at the new show apartments but reserve one of the properties still up for grabs.

With sales going so well has meant an acceleration in the build programme to cater for the demand which is good news for anyone looking to get in quickly as a number of properties are ready for immediate occupation.

Current availability includes a selection of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, ideal for a range of purchaser from first time buyers, down-sizers, professional couples and investors.

The development’s proximity to the centre of Bristol has also been a big draw for those moving in. Whether they want to be near their place of work, want to live in the heart of the city with all its attractions or just want a change of scene, Invicta ticks a lot of boxes.

Susan Young, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson said: “The response to Invicta has been very robust and indicates that the property market in Bristol is in a relatively healthy condition.

“Harbourside has always sold well, even during the double-dip recession and is testimony to the vision, design and commitment by all those involved to develop a place where people would want to live, work and enjoy their leisure time.

“It also helps that the build quality, location and variety of property styles is second-to-none to anything else currently available in the city so those thinking about buying a property here should do so now.

“The fact that the development is a short walk from Park Street and Queen Square has also added to Harbourside’s attractiveness. And those wanting to get to Temple Meads to catch a train can hop on the water ferry which has a stop outside the development.”

Comprising 170 one, two and three-bedroom high-end apartments plus a number of studios Invicta is spread over five floors. The name is derived from Bristol’s historic links with the city of Porto which was also known as Cidade Invicta.

The completion of Invicta will include a new pedestrian link called Millennium Promenade which will run from the Millennium Square to the Harbour Inlet. Providing views of the ss Great Britain it will complete the famous Brunel Mile and the engineer’s vision for uninterrupted travel from London to the new world in America.

Those wanting to see a bit more can visit the development and look around the two new show apartments. Featuring the latest colours, fabrics and furniture they will help provide inspiration for property purchasers looking to decorate their new home.

Located on Canons Way, Invicta is spread over five floors and the new marketing suite is open every day from 10am to 5pm.

Prices at Invicta, the latest phase of the Harbourside development, start at £164,950.
