Crest Nicholson has donated £3,000 to Borough Green Primary School on School Approach in Borough Green to contribute to refurbishment costs for the school library.
As a result of the donation the school library has benefitted from a full revamp, including refreshed paintwork and colourful new carpets to give the room a brighter and more spacious feel, making a perfect space for pupils to read to their hearts’ content.
Crest Nicholson also confirmed plans to donate an additional sum of money to fund new furniture for the library.
Both Peter Diffley, Managing Director at Crest Nicholson’s Eastern division, and Annette Cole, Sales and Marketing Director, attended the unveiling of the new library, which took place on the 10th of November.
Karen Sandberg, Headteacher at Borough Green Primary School, said:
“We’re delighted with Crest Nicholson’s generous donation, which has really helped give our library a new lease of life. Work began on the refurbishment at the start of the summer, so it is great to have the new library up-and-running in time for Christmas!”
Peter Diffley, Managing Director at Crest Nicholson’s Eastern division, said:
“We’re thrilled to be aiding the development of such a thriving primary school within our local area. As responsible housebuilders, we recognise the importance of supporting the communities where we build and develop. It’s great to be able to assist the growth of this local primary school, and the official opening was a fantastic opportunity to meet with the teachers and some of the pupils.”
Borough Green Primary School is located within close proximity of Crest Nicholson’s Hazelbourne development in Borough Green.
