Younger Buyers Buck Trend For Two Storey Living

With Kings Hill recently ranked 9th in Britain’s top 20 places to raise a family*, the town has long been popular for its family-friendly lifestyle and its traditionally designed homes. Now, the long-standing trend towards traditional two-storey family housing appears to be dwindling at one local development.

According to the sales team at Crest Nicholson’s Woodland Place development, there has been an influx of young families buying the three-storey Rowan house type, with many saying it will allow them to create a dedicated play zone for their children, keeping living areas clutter-free.

Annette Cole, Sales and Marketing Director, Crest Nicholson Eastern, said the latest phase of the development has seen a notable increase in young buyers.  "The there-storey Rowan house type is fast becoming our most popular property for young families. The fact that the entire top floor is designated as a luxurious master suite is obviously very attractive to parents. But what’s really interesting is that many of the families who’ve viewed the Rowan houses have said that the house gives them the space to use the fourth bedroom as a dedicated play area so that they can keep their everyday living areas clear of toys and clutter.”

The houses feature fully-fitted contemporary kitchens with integrated Bosch appliances, including a single oven with three speed integrated extractor. Bathrooms benefit from luxury Roca sanitaryware and Hansgrohe taps and shower fittings, while the home also boasts energy-efficient gas-fired central heating to help reduce energy bills.

Offering more than just a series of homes, but a stimulating lifestyle as well, residents at Woodland Place can enjoy the established recreational opportunities available at Kings Hill. Located in immediate proximity to the Kings Hill Golf Club, a thriving community cricket club as well as an onsite pub and numerous restaurants, families can also enjoy woodland walks, a nature park and sports pitches.

Nearby amenities also include a local Waitrose as well as a David Lloyd gym, while the excellent onsite primary school and enviable local grammar school network cater specifically to the varying needs of different family members.

With Bluewater shopping centre just twenty miles away, Woodland Place is in easy access to shopping and leisure opportunities, while nearby West Malling Village boasts a fantastic high street with a range of local independent shops, village pubs and restaurants.

Just a five minute drive to the centre of West Malling or ten minutes to Maidstone, Kings Hill also offers the ultimate location for commuters travelling to London each day. With links into London Victoria in under an hour, Woodland Place embodies a desirable location within Kent’s rural commuter belt.

Four-bedroom homes are currently available to buy at Woodland Place, priced from £450,000. For further information, please contact the sales and marketing team on 01732 440040 / www.crestnicholson.com/woodlandplace
