Play area at Liberty Park

Kent Development Fosters Community Cohesion

Latest research released by Play England reveals that a lack of dedicated community space impedes a child’s opportunities to play outdoors, as well as demonstrating that outdoor play has the capacity to bring communities together. 40% of the adults surveyed said that children playing outside improves community spirit, and almost half believe that it helps families to get to know each other, essentially fostering community cohesion. It is clear therefore that the importance of developments with communal areas has never been more apparent.

Liberty Park in Wainscott near Rochester is a prime example of award-winning developer Crest Nicholson’s commitment to creating developments with well-designed communal outdoor space at their heart. The development boasts the infrastructure to cultivate enduring communities, with plenty of open space and a multi-use games areas for residents to enjoy. However, the means with which to build a community at Liberty Park does not end there.

Located just a short bus ride from the centre of Rochester, Liberty Park is also in easy reach of the town’s many modern amenities including a leisure centre, cinema, theatre and pedestrianised shopping centre, providing the ultimate backdrop against which the local population can thrive.

Annette Cole, Sales & Marketing Director, Crest Nicholson Eastern, commented: “A fundamental part of the design process when devising a new development is ensuring that the mix of homes, the layout of the streets and the on-site facilities are appropriate to the location and the scale of the development to ensure that a cohesive community can be nurtured.

“The siting of Liberty Park allows residents to benefit from the existing community in Wainscott whilst also becoming part of a burgeoning new community while the layout of the development has been devised to engender a sense of community. As more residents move in it’s a joy to see a happy new community developing making most of their new life here.”

As a collection of two-bedroom coach houses, two, three and four-bedroom houses, Liberty Park is designed to appeal to both growing and established families, who are looking for the peace and tranquillity of village life while still being in direct reach of Rochester.

Equally, located just a short distance from Strood Mainline Station, residents can benefit from the High Speed 1 train link, which transports commuters into Kings Cross St Pancras in just 32 minutes.

A range of three-bedroom homes are currently available for sale. All homes blend traditional exteriors with characterful well-planned internal layouts that maximise space and provide practical living space of the highest quality.
