Mayor Gives Seal of Approval to The Hollies

The Worshipful The Mayor of Maidstone Councillor Clive English has described housebuilder Crest Nicholson’s new development of homes, The Hollies, in Harrietsham, as “an exemplar for other developers in the area.”

Cutting the ribbon to officially launch the new homes at The Hollies, The Worshipful The Mayor of Maidstone, Councillor Clive English, commented: “There is a real need for new family homes in the area and The Hollies serves as an exemplar for other developers. The development showcases the fantastic results that can be had when Parish Councillors and developers work together and marries strong design credentials with eco-friendly features to create well-planned homes that are an asset to the local community.”

Crest Nicholson always aims to build homes that meet the demand of local house-hunters and residents and has been working closely with the local council and residents on many aspects of the plans to ensure that The Hollies will benefit the community.

As a result, the development will feature a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes, so it caters to all types of purchasers, including first-time buyers, professionals, families and downsizers. Plus, the homes have been designed so that the external vernacular of the properties will be in keeping with the village and surrounding buildings.

James Moody, Managing Director of Crest Nicholson Eastern, said: “As with all of our developments, we have worked hard to ensure that The Hollies integrates seamlessly with the existing community in Harrietsham. We were extremely proud to welcome Mr Mayor to the development to show what we have achieved and it was extremely gratifying to hear such positive feedback from Mr Mayor and local Councillors. There is high demand for housing in the area and the homes are proving extremely popular with a wide range of purchasers attracted by the traditionally designed properties in what is a strong commuter location.”

The Hollies is situated in the pretty village of Harrietsham, near Maidstone. Despite its rural location, residents will find the homes are perfectly suited to commuters, with the larger towns of Maidstone and Ashford within easy reach via the M20, and the North Downs and Leeds Castle just a short drive away. Also Harrietsham train station, just a short walk from The Hollies, provides a direct service to London Victoria in just over an hour.

Prices at The Hollies start from £285,000 for a three-bedroom detached house. For more information and the latest news on The Hollies, telephone: 01622 235593 or visit www.crestnicholson.com/thehollies
