Bulb-planting is a blooming success at Liberty Park

Green-fingered pupils from Wainscott Primary School have visited Crest Nicholson’s Liberty Park development at Wainscott to see how the bulbs which they planted earlier this year have been transformed into colourful spring blooms.

The children, who are members of the School Council, were asked by the award-winning property developer to plant three varieties of daffodil bulbs on the open space at the development. They enjoyed learning about planting, how to space the bulbs and dig holes – and have now got to see what the flowers look like.

Julie North, a third year teacher at Wainscott Primary School, said: “The children were very excited about coming back to the site to see the results of their hard work. This has been a great way of engaging local children and getting them thinking about the environment. The golden daffodils looked absolutely lovely and we hope the residents of Liberty Park enjoy this extra dash of colour!”

Annette Cole, Sales and Marketing Director for Crest Nicholson Eastern, said: “The pupils have done a wonderful job and we’re pleased the activity has been a fun addition to their lessons on the seasons and natural environment. We were delighted to welcome them once again to Liberty Park.”

The bulb-planting project is part of Crest Nicholson’s commitment to creating vibrant, sustainable communities.
