Supporting Sustainable Lifestyles

High quality, comfortable, well-located homes with great design appeal are only part of the story. Our customers also expect excellent energy performance and a range of environmental features to help them maximise the performance of their homes.

With energy prices increasing, the energy performance of a home is important to keep fuel bills affordable. But it’s not just about the cost of living – energy used in homes accounts for 25% of carbon dioxide emissions in the UK. The carbon footprint of a home includes factors such as the building fabric, services and appliances, and the lifestyle of occupants. In 2008, the UK Government set a target to reduce 80% of the country’s emissions by 2050 as part of the 2008 Climate Change Act. To meet this target, the challenge of households’ emissions needs to be addressed by everyone involved – government, housebuilders and customers.

Crest Nicholson has taken on this challenge.

Check out the features our new homes offer, which help our customers live low-carbon lifestyles.
