Live Kingston

When you are not commuting or working in town, enjoy the relaxing riverside walks, as well as the cultural, rural and historical amenities that make Kingston so spectacular. The history of the town is evident and impressive, highlighted through the Kingston Royal Walkabout, a royal heritage trail that takes in the Coronation Stone, which has seen the ascension of many an ancient King.

The pedestrian friendly town centre has an abundance of shops, leisure facilities, bars, cafés, restaurants and a thriving nightlife, especially by the waterfront on The River Thames. Further to this, Kingston is also home to the Rose Theatre, a multiplex cinema and a bustling market. There is a Sainsbury's supermarket a stone's throw from The Royal Gallery for the height of convenience, whilst John Lewis and Waitrose are also within easy reach.

If you enjoy staying active, there is an array of local sporting facilities such as Esporta health club opposite The Royal Gallery, a David Lloyd gym in The Rotunda and a Virgin Active in the nearby Bentall Centre, which also plays host to a range of restaurants and shops. If the gym is not your idea of relaxation, stroll along the river down Canbury Gardens, over 14 acres of open space. Alternatively, you could tee off at Hampton Court Palace Golf Club or simply visit the palace itself.
