South Downs

St Francis Park is close to the High Weald, Ashdown Forest and the South Downs, as well as just five minutes drive from the Sussex countryside and the picturesque villages of Balcombe and Lindfield. The famous Bluebell Railway is within easy reach in nearby Sheffield Park and has many old steam engines and plenty of enthusiasts to explain their workings and heritage. Ardingly Reservoir in the village of Ardingly has water sports including sailing, canoeing and windsurfing, whilst also proving some great scenery.

For families, the development is within the catchment area for some excellent local schools including St Wilfrid's C of E Primary School and Harlands Primary School. Warden Park Secondary School and Haywards Heath College are also close by.

A Commuter's Dream

Haywards Heath and its position midway between London and Brighton make it a popular commuter town. The A23 and M23 are close by and lead North to Crawley and the M25 and it's just 12 miles South to the coast.

For those who commute to the capital, Haywards Heath train station is just a mile walk or a short drive from St Francis Park and offers 14 trains an hour to London Bridge, Victoria and Blackfriars, with journey times of between 45 minutes to an hour.

Residents who work in nearby Burgess Hill, East Grinstead or Uckfield can beat the Haywards Heath rush hour by living at St Francis Park, as its position south of the town centre means that residents miss any peak time traffic. The development is also close to Gatwick airport for those who either work there or wish to simply lock up and leave their new home whilst they spend time abroad.
