Award-winning developer Crest Nicholson is celebrating after winning ‘Best FTSE 250 Printed Report’ at Communicate magazine’s 2017 Corporate & Financial Awards.

The developer, along with its partner Flag Communications, was awarded the accolade for its 2016 Annual Integrated Report which successfully and succinctly articulates Crest Nicholson’s strategic corporate narrative to key stakeholders.

Structured under the theme ‘Sustaining Value’, Crest Nicholson’s third Annual Integrated Report, uses strong, impactful visuals within a clean design to ensure its long-term value creation story is compelling, accessible and informative.

The Corporate & Financial Awards, hosted at the Brewery in Central London, reward best in class communications in the corporate and financial communications space. All awards are based on detailed feedback from over 20 expert judges, and the 2017 event welcomed entries from a cross section of UK businesses.

Judges praised the quality of Crest Nicholson’s 2016 Annual Integrated Report and the way that the developer had considered its various audiences, adapting both style and format to meet different stakeholder needs. It also acknowledged the group’s supporting online communications strategy which significantly boosted the report’s reach.

Speaking following the award win, Stephen Stone, Chief Executive at Crest Nicholson explained: “Over the last three years, we have developed our approach to reporting to make it more reflective of our business, by moving from separate sustainability and annual reports to a fully integrated report, summary document and online content.

“This award win confirms our leadership position in integrated reporting and is testament to our commitment to clear, transparent and integrated communications.”

Andrew Thomas, publishing editor of Communicate magazine, commented: “The quality of the 2017 shortlist and winners meant the competition stepped up another gear from previous years.

“Entries were up across all constituents of the FTSE, and this year’s results highlight how important financial media relations and corporate communications are to the City and its influencers – the Corporate & Financial Awards continue to demonstrate the importance of benchmarking these achievements.”

The BBC’s Sophie Raworth was on-hand to host the award’s evening and lead the celebrations.
