Creating a new community for everyone

Lightmoor Green is Crest Nicholson's flagship contribution to Lightmoor Village, the exciting new urban village being created just west of Telford. Lightmoor Village is a joint venture between Bournville Village Trust, English Partnerships and Crest Nicholson, with a new urban village built around the concepts of community and sustainability. Far more than simply new homes, the vision for Lightmoor is of a viable, sustainable community that will evolve and flourish over time. At its heart is the village square, envisaged as a place where communal activities such as a village fete or farmers' market can be held, and neighbours can get to know one another. Furthermore, every aspect of Lightmoor Green will reach the very highest environmental and ecological standards; something that Crest Nicholson feels is vitally important and is reflected fully in the many eco-aware features of their new homes at Lightmoor Green. As a result, all the homes achieve an EcoHomes 'Excellent' rating.

These new homes have a prime position at the very hub of the new village, a short stroll from the shops and village square. The architecture is traditional, adhering to the broader idea that Lightmoor Green should have a real sense of connection with the surrounding architecture, countryside and heritage, whilst maintaining an original identity of its own.

Telford - a town for shopping and family fun

Telford is one of the UK's fastest growing 'new towns', a place designed to meet contemporary needs for shopping, work and leisure. It has the best shopping centre in the county, where you can indulge in over 160 stores including House of Fraser, Debenhams and Marks and Spencer. It's open seven days a week, parking is plentiful, and there's even a crèche. In fact, Telford is a wonderful town for families generally. 450-acre Telford Town Park has a wide range of facilities where children can work off their energies on aerial walkways and rope ladders, or see fairy stories enacted.

There's an ice rink and multiplex cinema too. Adults also have plenty to amuse themselves with in Telford. Golfers will enjoy the prestigious Horsehay Village Golf Centre, and for culture lovers there is the renowned Oakengates Theatre at The Place; as well as many other sporting, leisure and artistic attractions.

Shropshire - timeless rural landscapes

The surrounding countryside gives you so much to explore. The Shropshire landscape is rich in delightful market towns with their traditional shops and inns. A unique feature of the region is the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge, cradle of the Industrial Revolution and home to award winning museums. From earlier eras, Shropshire offers 13th century Stokesay Castle, Weston Park, and Wroxeter Roman City, to name but three. Plus: gardens, unspoilt countryside, abbeys and churches, markets and craft centres, and for those nostalgic about the age of steam, the glorious Severn Valley Railway.
