Crest Nicholson is delighted to announce that it has received planning approval for a new village centre at its successful Kings Warren development in Red Lodge. It is anticipated that, when complete, the new centre will become a focal point for the community at Kings Warren.
The Village Centre will consist of six separate commercial units set within two buildings, separated by a plaza in the centre to provide traffic-free access to both buildings. The infrastructure of the development has been adapted to accommodate this with associated roads, footpaths, cycle ways, landscaped areas and loop road access to both the village centre and school via Warren Road.
The commercial use of the village centre includes plans for shops, financial/professional services, restaurants, cafes, pubs and offices as well as a crèche. Crest Nicholson is in negotiations with several parties with regards to leases on the commercial properties.
James Moody, Managing Director at Crest Nicholson Eastern said: “We are extremely excited about this next stage in the Kings Warren development and the opportunity it presents to add to the already thriving community at Kings Warren. We hope that the new village centre will become a central meeting point for residents to socialise at.
“Crest Nicholson is committed building communities at all of its developments and has been successfully bringing residents together at Kings Warren through a series of local events. The developer has sponsored events such as the recent fun run around the development and has also provided kits for the Red Lodge Under-8’s football team. ”
The new Red Lodge village primary school will be an invaluable part of the local community for young families. Plans for the school are currently undergoing approval by Suffolk County Council and work is expected to begin in September 2011 for completion in September 2012.
